Buying an engagement ring can be a trick thing, and many guys are faced with the steer of where they should make this big and important purchase. It’s one purchase they don’t want to get wrong! One question that comes up a lot is whether you should buy and engagement ring from Tiffany’s jewelry store.
I’ll say one thing about Tiffany’s – they have incredible marketing. They have done an amazing job of building a brand image and being able to profit immensely because of it. Many girls go giddy as soon as they hypothesise of the store or set foot near it!
However, it’s important to keep in mind that just because they have a plain brand name, doesn’t mean that what you pay for is a better product. In fact, you can expect to pay drastically higher prices for an engagement ring in Tiffany’s than you would elsewhere for a ring of the exact same quality!
Keep this in mind when whenever you set foot in Tiffany’s – a huge glob of what you are paying is for the name itself. Now when it comes to a diamond engagement ring, which already had a big pricetag, buying from Tiffany’s can be outright painful!
There isn’t anything about the diamonds at Tiffany’s that you can’t find elsewhere. In fact, there is a limited selection there.
By shopping for a diamond elsewhere, you will be able to use your power to negotiate the best price (something that isn’t possible at Tiffany’s) and choose exactly what you want in both the diamond itself and the actual setting. When it comes to shopping for an engagement ring, you will save an extraordinary amount of money by knowing exactly what to look for.
I truly weigh that knowledge is power when it comes to shopping for diamonds – if you know your thrust you can save huge cash. Unfortunately Tiffany’s isn’t a situation? where you can put this knowledge to use.
And don’t think for a second that she won’t love a ring from elsewhere as much as one from Tiffany’s. Sure it might come from a little blue box, but I can guarantee you she’ll be happier to have a bigger, better diamond that outsparkles anything you would have been able to find at Tiffany’s with the same budget.
